We’re now looking to accelerate this even further with the appointment of a Business Development Manager to help us get Venture Forge in front of leading brands and household names that we can help grow sales for on Amazon.

This is a remote position with some requirements for physical meetings in West Yorkshire but with masses of flexibility to how and where you work. Candidates should be UK based.

Business Development Manager

As our Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for generating more leads from potential clients using sales development, lead generation and prospecting techniques.

You will be expected to build your own pipeline of ongoing leads from household name brands looking to grow their sales on Amazon in the UK and beyond.

You will work to build relationships with target brands, identify opportunities with them and undertake initial meetings/calls to qualify them in/out of our sales process and to prime them for a meeting with one of our Senior Team to discuss how we may be able to help with their requirements.

Over time, this role will grow with the opportunity to develop and lead a broader team around you.

With this being a new role to the business, we are looking for someone who can own this role and make it their own - by taking a lead from our vision and strategy for the business, but empowering you to deliver the business development activity in the way you know best to drive the results we are looking for.

We’re big on accountability. So if you’re up for taking on a vision and making it happen, this is for you. If you prefer to be given a list of tasks to work from on a weekly basis - thanks, but you’re not for us.

Who we are looking for

  • You’ll be accountable for creating and delivering our business development plan and helping shape budgets and activity around this.
  • Be hungry, prospecting for and nurturing new business opportunities to the point where they become qualified for a sales meeting. Fill our funnel with great prospects, hungry to work with us.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing sales cycles from strategy proposition to close
  • A track record of year on year growth within a B2B environment
  • Have an entrepreneurial attitude in building businesses
  • Manage all inbound leads
  • Outbound email, LinkedIn and calls is essential
  • Ability to have high-level conversations with CEO’s, MD’s, Directors
  • An understanding of e-commerce and ideally, but not essential, Amazon
  • Set meetings and appointments with new prospects to meet our Directors
  • Demonstrating the ability to spot business opportunities across different verticals
  • Building close relationships with our account management
  • Maintain our CRM (Hubspot) and manage all leads through it
  • Report openly on your activity and successes. We’re a results focussed, KPI driven business and run our business very much on the numbers and data

Skills

  • A minimum of 2 years experience as a Business Development Manager in a digital/marketing agency, or similar
  • Excellent grasp of B2B prospecting and lead generation
  • Great at building long-lasting relationships with our prospects, clients and internal team
  • A desire to be a part of something that is growing quickly and on track to be the UK’s number one Amazon agency
